Verdict: TP-Link’s Deco mesh WiFi systems offer impressive real-world speeds, extensive coverage, and solid smart home performance. They’re perfect for upgrading your home network or comparing with other WiFi 7 mesh systems.
Real-World Speeds
The Deco systems consistently delivered high speeds even when moving between rooms. With WiFi 6, I got around 300 Mbps at 15 feet, which is more than enough for most homes. Even with WiFi 7, the speeds were comparable but with improved capacity and efficiency.
Coverage
The Deco M9 Plus, for instance, covers up to 4,500 sq ft. In my tests, it handled two stories without any issues. The Deco X68, being a tri-band system, offered even more capacity and less congestion.
Smart Home Performance
The M9 Plus includes a built-in Zigbee hub for smart home devices. It worked seamlessly with my lights, locks, and sensors. Voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant was also flawless.
