There’s times when a basic Apple Home automation doesn’t quite do the trick. What if you want to wait before running an automation? What if you want to check the status of an extra device? What if you want to check the time of day and set different scenes based on that?
In this video I show you how to achieve all of the above using Apple Home automations and Siri Shortcuts, no additional apps required!
Note: You’ll need to do this on an iPhone or iPad as the desktop version of Home as a bug which doesn’t let you check accessory states in shortcuts.
