Morphy Richards S1 Pro Air Conditioner: Leak Fix & P04 Error Resolution

Verdict: My Morphy Richards S1 Pro air conditioner had a leaking issue regardless of mode and would occasionally display the mysterious P04 error. After some troubleshooting, I found descaling the unit was key to resolving both problems.

Understanding the Leak & P04 Error

The Morphy Richards S1 Pro manual doesn’t mention these issues or provide fixes. Customer service suggested it might be due to scale accumulation and offered a descaling procedure as a solution.

Descaling the Morphy Richards S1 Pro

Here’s how I followed their steps:

  1. Drained water from the chassis.
  2. Added citric acid (75g) to the full water tank, then reinstalled it.
  3. Powered on and started the machine. Once water overflowed, turned off and disconnected power. Waited briefly before draining water again.
  4. Repeated steps 2-3 about two more times.

Note: Morphy Richards recommends performing this operation in the bathroom to avoid potential floor damage.

Post-Descaling Check & Results

After descaling, I checked if water leakage improved. Happily, both the leak issue and P04 error have been resolved since then!
