The Morphy Richards S1 Pro is a great portable Air Conditioner but mine was recently leaving the carpet soaking wet regardless of mode and occasionally came up with a P04 error. That error code is not in the manual nor is any way to fix the leak but this is what Morphy Richards said…it might need descaling! WTF isn’t this in the manual!

Here’s what they said (copied/pasted from email)…why don’t they want us to know this out the box?

It may be due to the accumulation of scale. We recommend that you perform a descaling operation first. To avoid damage to the floor due to water leakage during the descaling process, it is recommended to run the descaling operation in the bathroom.

Please follow the below steps:

  1. First, drain the water from the chassis.
  2. Add citric acid or baking soda to the water tank at a 5% ratio (i.e., add 75g of citric acid or baking soda if the water tank is full).
  3. Reinstall the water tank onto the machine, then power on and start the machine.
  4. Once the water in the chassis is full and overflows, turn off and disconnect the power.
  5. Wait for a period of time, then drain the water from the chassis again.
  6. Power on and start the machine again to check if the water leakage has improved.
  7. If there is still water leakage, repeat steps 2-3 above 2-3 times.
