Hive have been one of the key players in the smart thermostat market for several years now but their existing Hive thermostat has felt a little dated while having not being updated in several years. Today, they announced new Hive Mini Thermostat which will be released 2022. What do we know?
Hive haven’t announced a huge amount details yet and whilst they’ve said the Hive Mini will be cheaper, they have not given us price. They however told us mini boasts features their existing thermostat provides which means schedules controlled from your smart phone geofencing holiday modes frost protection alongside it working with smart radiator valves for greater control of different rooms inside house.
New Design
The stand out feature we should be talking about is the new design. The bulky design of existing thermostat has been replaced with slimmer, flatter profile featuring no physical buttons while glossy black display looks sleek modern font feels like next generation Hive is finally here ready to impress users immediately once it reaches retailers shelves.
Should you still buy?
At moment we’re tempted to say no and hold off for mini until release date approaches specifically rather than buying dated Hive thermostat currently available online at official websites mostly hosting sales promotions frequently during holiday seasons. The new Mini is going to have latest tech alongside better looking designs which will make it significantly better choice than that dated model.
