Tado is now charging for a feature that used to be included with the Tado X smart radiator valves (TRVs). 💸
Anyone setting up a new home in the Tado app from the start of October 2025 will now require the Tado subscription to have their smart radiator valves trigger their heating and this sucks!
Installations prior to October 2025 aren’t impacted unless you delete your home to start again from the Tado app.
I’m currently trying out the Habi system which I’ll review soon. I purchased this myself and the TRV’s can trigger their smart boiler control for free!
